Tell us a little bit about your background and career so far:

I joined the sector in May 2016 when, as a Graduate Chemist, I started with Augean Plc at their Avonmouth Treatment Site. After four years, and advancing to the role of Transfer Station Manager, I moved to Hills Waste Solutions as an Operations Shift Supervisor at the Mechanical Biological Treatment Facility in Westbury. I joined A & J in February 2024, looking forward to new challenges.

What do you like most about your current role?

I enjoy helping our clients tackle the challenges and complexities of brownfield and greenfield sites. Whether it involves additional testing, soil analysis, or finding treatment and recycling solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous materials, I always aim to provide the best possible solutions.

What do you bring to the team?

With a degree in Analytical Chemistry and Business, and over eight years of experience in the waste industry, I’ve been able to find solutions for the some very complex issues which is really rewarding.

How does the team work together and what do you achieve for your clients?

We work as a close-knit team and always strive for the best possible outcomes from all projects, ensuring cost-effective and environmentally sound solutions for our clients.

What does the future here look like for you?

I love being involved with the growth of the business and will always look for new ways to improve our services and add further value to the work we do with clients.

What interests you outside of work?

Being a football enthusiast since I was five, every Saturday you’ll find me up on the downs in goal for The Torpedoes, part the Bristol Downs League. It’s the oldest 11-a-side football league in Bristol and the only one in the world like it! You can listen to a series about the league on BBC Sounds. Alongside this I’m a bit of a sci-fi geek and I also enjoy collecting memorabilia from Star Trek, Star Wars and Doctor Who (to name a few!).
