Tell us a little bit about your background and career so far:
I’ve been with A & J since 2018, shortly after its inception in 2017. Before that, I worked in transport and accounts for a local haulier, which has really helped me build great relationships in my current role.
What do you like most about your current role?
I love helping my clients and delivering the best service possible. I find it very rewarding to stay competitive, even in challenging market conditions. I also really value the relationships I have with the Head Office team in Frome.
What do you bring to the team?
I offer our team a wealth of local industry knowledge and a strong sense of commitment. The trusted relationships I’ve built with both hauliers and clients are crucial to how I work and obviously benefit the business too.
How does the team work together and what do you achieve for your clients?
One of team’s key strengths is good communication with clients and hauliers. This collaboration helps us secure the best rates possible for our clients which helps build loyalty and trust.
What’s your approach to tackling challenges at work?
I like to stay flexible and open-minded, and working for an SME with quick access to key decision makers means we can remain nimble in our approach. Challenges are just chances to grow and find creative solutions. With a positive attitude and great teamwork, I believe we can turn most obstacles into wins for our clients and for our business
What does the future here look like for you?
I’m very happy here at A & J, and it’s great to be involved in the company’s growth. With several exciting new projects on the horizon next year, the future looks very promising – for my area in particular.
What interests you outside of work?
My son’s happiness is my top priority. I’m committed to supporting his hobbies, including motocross, karting, and RC (radio-controlled) bangers – which is great fun, and certainly keeps me busy in my spare time!
